The flysheet used in the NORTENT (EXTREME SERIES) is made of 3-layer ripstop nylon with silicone coating on both sides. This top-quality fabric has been tested and passed specific tear strength tests (ISO13937-4), waterproof rating tests (ISO801) and high UV protection index (BS EN 13758-1).
In addition, the coating on Silnylon does not dissolve over time and maintains high waterproof properties.
Fabrics you can trust in harsh environments, both nylon and Dyneema used in the EXTREME SERIES are high quality patented materials made in Korea. This fabric is dense and durable, with a specific tear strength test of 19kg for 40D fabrics (Lavvo, Koie, Gamme4) and 28kg for 70D fabrics (Gamme6,8). The same figures as top tent manufacturers in SWEDEN. The difference with the ARCTICS SERIES is in the density of the fabric.
The thread density per square meter of the EXTREME SERIES is designed to be much higher, at about 20% higher. In addition, three layers of silicone coating are used on one side. The three-layer silicone structure increases the adhesion of the silicone coating, achieving high water pressure resistance and durability.
