The NORTENT Gamme Polycotton SERIES is based on the existing Gamme and uses Polycotton fabric for the outer tent material. This model was designed based on feedback from geologists who conducted geological surveys in the frigid Svalbard Islands, and the tents that take advantage of the characteristics of Polycotton material reduce condensation inside the tent, making the environment inside the tent more comfortable.
In terms of condensation, there is less need for an inner tent, making it more comfortable to use a wood stove inside the tent.
Polycotton, a fabric that increases comfort inside a tent, is breathable and therefore less prone to condensation, which can occur with synthetic fibers such as polyester. Cotton has similar properties, but it is heavier and a little inconvenient to carry, whereas polycotton has the advantages of both cotton and synthetic materials.
Polycotton fabric is not completely waterproof on first use, but after multiple exposures to water it will become completely waterproof. Polycotton does not require a coating and will remain waterproof for many years with proper care and storage.
