The NORTENT Gamme EXTREME series is based on the traditional GammeARCTIC, with all materials revised to provide the durability and comfort required by adventurers, geologists, and hardcore outdoor enthusiasts who work in harsh environments.
The fly sheet used in the NORTENT (EXTREME SERIES) is made of three-layer ripstop nylon with silicone coating on both sides.
The highest quality fabrics have been tested and passed specific tear strength tests (ISO13937-4), waterproof rating tests (ISO801) and high UV protection factor (BS EN 13758-1), and Silnylon is highly waterproof as the coating will not dissolve over time.
The nylon and Dyneema used in the EXTREME SERIES are high-quality, patented materials made in Korea, and are reliable fabrics for harsh environments.
This fabric is dense and durable, with a specific tear strength test of 19kg for 40D fabrics (Lavvo, Koie, Gamme4) and 28kg for 70D fabrics (Gamme6,8). These are the same figures as the top tent manufacturers in SWEDEN. The difference with the ARCTICS SERIES is in the density of the fabric.
The EXTREME SERIES is designed to have a much higher thread density per square meter, approximately 20% higher.
In addition, three layers of silicone coating are used on each side. The three-layer structure of silicone increases the adhesion of the silicone coating, achieving high water pressure resistance and durability.
